What this service is
Video Transcript Free is a free browser-based tool that converts audio and video files to text using on-device speech recognition. There is no account, no subscription, and no charge for using it.
Your content
You are responsible for the files you choose to transcribe and for having the right to do so. Because transcription happens locally in your browser, we never receive, store, or have access to your files or the text generated from them.
No guarantees
Transcription accuracy depends on your device, the audio quality, and the language spoken. We provide this tool "as is," without a guarantee that transcription will be accurate, complete, or available at all times. For longer files, higher accuracy, or guaranteed processing, see PodText.
Acceptable use
Don't use this tool to process content you don't have the right to transcribe, or in a way that attempts to disrupt or abuse the site.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
