Frequently asked questions
Does background noise affect accuracy?
Some — Whisper handles moderate background noise reasonably well, but a cleaner recording will always transcribe more accurately.
Can it tell different speakers apart?
Not yet — transcripts are a single continuous text stream without speaker labels.
Is there an audio length limit?
Audio up to about 2 hours, and under the 2GB size cap, transcribes smoothly. A recording a bit longer than that will still work — it just takes more time.
