How accurate is it?
Accuracy tracks the recording more than the file format — clean, close-mic'd audio transcribes best, while background noise or overlapping speakers can trip up any model. If a file needs extra care, switch to Accurate mode before you start.
Frequently asked questions
How large an MP3 file can it handle?
MP3s up to 2GB are supported — that's roughly 2 hours of typical podcast-quality audio. Files a bit past that will still transcribe, just more slowly.
Does a lower bitrate MP3 affect accuracy?
Very low-bitrate files can lose some clarity, but most podcast- and voice-memo-quality MP3s transcribe well.
Is there a per-minute cost?
No. Everything runs locally on your device, so there's no cost per minute regardless of file length.
